Every week in our Facebook community, Manifest It! , we have Q & A time where I answer members’ questions with regards to mindset work/journaling and law of attraction. This week I was asked a question around limiting beliefs and how some have struggles in being able to release them.
Answer (Journal Girl Jaclyn):
Why do you continue to hold on to them? What would happen if you let go of your limiting beliefs? What would your feelings be if you let them go?
What would you think could happen that is the worst thing if you let them go? What would you think could happen that is the best thing if you let them go?
What do you want to choose to think and believe? Why are you continuing to allow yourself to ignore these desired thoughts?
Once you can understand WHY you have them, where they stem from, and WHY you continue to choose to believe your limiting thoughts, you can start working towards learning to release them because they ARE just thoughts that hold power behind them (you choose to hold the power behind them). Beliefs are thoughts that we choose to have and choose to hold power to within us.
What makes our thoughts/beliefs actually true? Why aren’t they true? State your case, rebuke your limiting thoughts and beliefs. Try exploring through journaling and see what comes up for you! Remember, your thoughts are just thoughts. Think of a car passing you by: you acknowledge the car coming towards you, but you allow it to pass you by. Your thoughts should be acknowledged, but don’t allow them to unpack and live in your head. You’ve got this!
