Recovery depends upon gradually reconnecting with suppressed memories- the emotions and memories that we’re not ready to face. Disturbing dreams by night and intrusive thoughts by day are evidence of traumatic memories that are buried in the subconscious, and were never properly integrated with past memories and emotions.
Reconnecting the Memories
I find this interesting because with the Law of Attraction I teach souls to reconnect memories to what they are desiring. For example, take your favorite scent and remember a fond memory from it while at the same time holding cash-money in order to imprint an alternate memory. The process of grief can also be performed through the same methods as the process of manifesting. Dr. Shulman advises a few coping mechanisms to transform grief:
To move forward, we need to find tools that will help us reconnect with suppressed memories. Equally important is the need to find activities that are diverting to refresh the mind. Tools for re-connection may include journaling, faith-based practices, meditation, and seeing a counselor. Keeping a dream journal may gradually uncover repetitive themes. Mysterious at first- over time the symbols in our dreams begin to reveal themselves. For refreshment, try creative practices (art, music, dance) and the healing powers of the outdoors.
The Connection Transformation
Obviously, I’m a huge fan of what I call Mastering Manifesting journaling. In addition, I meditate for a few minutes each night before falling asleep. Our brain is a 24/7 filtering system and we need to allow ourselves to “reboot” it often in order to empty the “cache files”. If we don’t give ourselves permission to do so through activities such as meditation, mindset journaling, painting, coloring, etc., everything in your subconscious mind will build up like the fizz in a soda bottle after it has been shaken a few times and the cap flies off from the tension of the carbonated pressure.
These past 2 days have been so strange for me. I am not sure what is going on in the air, but something is off.
Do you ever feel like just giving up, throwing in the towel, just forgetting about the whole thing?
My dad used to say to me, “You’ll always get a ‘no’ if you don’t try.” My dad’s birthday is in 3 days, he would have been 60. His life was cut short due to brain cancer. Sometimes I think the stress and his urges to take the lead/control situations may have led him to an early death at 53. And even as I type this, I have somehow drifted into an existence of forgetting the timeline of events (breaks out the calculator).
When I was younger, I loathed change. I feared it.
And while Dad wanted me to take chances, take risks, and expand my horizons, I just couldn’t understand why. I never really understood why change is a good thing until he died.
Because death forces you to release, let go, and surrender to change.
The #1 biggest regret we have in our human form is not trying, taking chances, taking risks, and expanding our horizons.
Yes, change can be scary.
And giving in, letting go, and surrendering to the symphony of mixed notes dancing around as particles within our Universe can be uncomfortable. It doesn’t mean we can’t trust the process.
You know the famous quote by John Lennon about life’s circumstances sometimes. The Universe is giving you everything you want while you have time on this earth to experience it.
When you have these uncomfortable moments, the fearful moments, and even the moments of wanting to give up…give in, instead, because this is all part of the rearranging of people and of things in order to have a clear pathway for your manifestations to emerge in front of you.
So, give in, don’t give up.
There is a great force at work here. Living in fear and never trying will leave you running on the hamster wheel in life. Nothing will happen for you if you don’t take chances. And while it IS uncomfortable at times, and it IS scary at times, it’s all part of the process of leveling UP into who you are meant to be as a soul with amazing gifts to share to the world.

You may not fully understand what is at work right now, but you’ll come to understand it in the near future. And when you do, you’ll say to yourself, “THAT’s why I was supposed to experience this.”
You ARE receiving your manifestations, you ARE. Trust the process because the Universe never gives you anything you aren’t ready to receive. And the lessons along the way are actually gifts given to you in order for you to become confident and ready to receive ALL your desires you truly want in your life.
So, don’t give up…give in, instead. There is a reason for you being in this moment right here, right now. And this goes for me, too.
I had a crazy rough day today…and to top it all off…I got a not-so-sweet surprise waiting for me in my car! Then, going further, some strange man in the parking lot of a store tried to grab me!
Needless to say, I’m STILL choosing to FOCUS on what I WANT to focus on because while everyone has free-will, I get to CHOOSE how I want to respond.
We all have good days and bad days. It’s what we CHOOSE to focus on and HOW we choose to think and respond that creates our reality.
Every Friday in the Manifest It! group on Facebook I give what I call Mastering Your Mindset work. Here is a sneak peak of what this weekend’s transformational mindset activities are:

Perspective! Everything we decide to choose to view as “real” and as “true” is all a matter of perspective, so let’s SHIFT our perspective by journaling out and examining the following:
1) As a child, what are some past experiences that happened to you that you view as less than favorable in their outcome? Why?
2) Now that you are an adult, if the SAME THING were to happen to you now, in the present, how would you evaluate the situation and circumstance NOW and going forward for your future? Would you view it as it happening TO you? Would you view it as something someone else CHOSE, but it doesn’t shake your soul in who you ARE? These type of responses. And make sure to journal out WHY you evaluate the situation and circumstance the way you CHOOSE to from now on and going forward.
3) Finish this sentence 10 times, with 10 different answers: From now on, I CHOOSE to view my perspective on what happens in life as…because…
Remember, we can either CHOOSE to let it define our soul (our core); OR, we can CHOOSE to let it pass by us. Because we are CHOOSING to focus on other thoughts and feelings that bring JOY, EMPOWERMENT, and LOVE through our shell (body) and that touch our soul to its core.
This blog post may not be the best article you read, nor may it be one that will stay within your memory after today; but, I must be candid for a few minutes.
Depression is a serious disease. I should know because without my medication I would be in it all over again. My entire business is around helping other souls with their mindset and their mindset beliefs. My purpose and message to the Universe is to help others manifest whatever it is they truly desire into their lives. My focus and passion is to help any and every soul I can help to live in true, authentic happiness. And today I sort of feel like a fraud after the news of Anthony Bourdain. He was a rare gem in this world, not one to shy away from being 100% honest, even if it made you cringe a little sometimes. I feel defeated in an odd way because I can understand how he must have been feeling. Here I am telling souls day after day that they can successfully shift their mindset, and maybe people who follow me never even knew what I was going through, myself.
However, I am proof that you CAN get better. 9 years ago I tried to take my own life. I remember that night so clearly. I remember bawling in the fetal position on the bathroom floor of my apartment for hours. I remember my inner demons telling me it “can’t get better”. I remember taking a massive amount of prescription pills and trying to slit my wrists to the music of Elton John’s “Someone Saved My Life Tonight”. Little did I know that song was going to play a more pivotal role leading to my own survival.
I was in a really bad relationship with a narcissist for about 2 years. I am an empath, meaning I absorb a lot of people’s energies around me. No matter how hard I try to surround myself with a clear, protective bubble, people’s energies can really soak into me. I remember how my attempt at suicide didn’t work, I felt awful the next day. I was so far down the depression hole at the time that I didn’t feel awful out of guilt- no way. I was so far “gone”. I felt awful because the night before I had sent my “goodbye” emails and there I was still (undeservingly ) breathing the next day. I remember the narcissist telling me, “you only did this to get attention”, when in actuality I did it because I was trying to escape from him, from life, from myself.
So why didn’t it work 9 years ago when I attempted? I realized a few months later everything really does happen for a reason. I truly believe I had to hit “rock bottom” in order to understand what I was actually going through at 26 years old. At the time, when I was in my relationship with the narcissist, I didn’t even know what a “narcissist” was until after I attempted to end it all and shortly after decided to go to cognitive therapy. If I had known that my inner demons were so powerfully volatile, and that there IS actually a light at the end of the tunnel, I may not have tried to so hard to say “goodbye” on that strange night. If I had known and understood the complexities of the brain and outside influences (such as toxic relationships with a narcissist), I may not have had such a strong urge to end it all.
I truly believe what I went through prepared me for what I am now doing 9 years later at 35 years old: teaching other souls in this world to KEEP GOING. Everything stems from our mindset. The mind can be so restless, but it doesn’t have to control you. And while depression feels 1000% real within ourselves, there truly IS another direction we can start mentally moving towards in order to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Leaving our earth is not the ONLY option. It’s not easy, but it’s definitely doable.
If you or anyone you know is suffering from depression, I strongly urge going to cognitive therapy. This type of therapy is actually what saved my life the next night, and every night since then until I was fully healed. While I do not hold a PhD in psychology, I do what I can as a mentor to help people shift their mindset to the best of their abilities. It is time to be OPEN and HONEST about depression and mental illness. There is NOTHING wrong with having a mental illness. And it does NOT have to control you and your life. You CAN live in authentic happiness with the proper guidance and support system surrounding you. And it can start today, right now.
Do not give up. Keep going. You are NOT alone. It is perfectly OKAY to seek help. And it is perfectly OKAY to be honest and REAL in this world. Each and every single one of us is a faceted gem that help to shape this world we live in. And you are such a rarity in this Universe. You ARE needed here, with us.
I know how you feel. I’ve been there. I’ve been through hell and back in my life. Growing up was hard. Being an adult was hard. Especially losing my Dad, that was so incredibly hard. I know how you feel when you feel stuck, confused, frustrated, bitter, sad, and/or depressed. I’ve had depression. I have been to THAT dark place before. I understand how your paralyzing feelings of being STUCK in life.
I’m here to tell you there IS a light at the end of your tunnel. I, too, didn’t believe it at one time. No, I REALLY didn’t believe it at one time. There was this little tiny flame left inside of me, deep down, underneath the layers of fear and feeling unworthy. I understand how you feel. I’m here to show you that little flame left inside of YOU deserves to be brightened, and it CAN be brightened. And it WILL be brightened.
Do not give up.
Do not give up.
DO NOT GIVE UP.
Tell yourself this over and over again, and think about all of us in the world who understand how you feel because we, too, have been there. Do not give up. You ARE turning a corner, a new leaf, taking a more positive path now. Do not give up. You ARE following that light at the end of your tunnel because that light is your happiness, your weight being lifted off of your shoulders, your FREEDOM. Do not give up. Take small steps, but take the steps and surround yourself with those of us who have followed our light out of our tunnels and found our pathway to happiness and freedom. Do not give up.
You ARE surrounded by white light. You ARE surrounded by us who are here to help you get your courage, your worthiness, your passion, and your soul-calling back into the driver’s seat. You ARE going to be okay. You ARE a gift to this world. Don’t you dare think a negative thing about yourself right now! I am here to tell you that you DESERVE to follow your soul calling. I am here to tell you that you CAN do it- and I am here to help you.
Trust in yourself, think of every little thing that makes you feel grateful, and follow your soul’s nudges along your soul’s path towards what feels better and better and better…KEEP GOING!
You can do it. I believe in YOU. What you focus on expands. Like attracts like. Those tiny, fast-moving particles that make up your brain, that make up YOU, are responding to your thoughts, your feelings, your vibrations. Take it one hour at a time: train, retrain, affirm, reaffirm your thoughts. You learn the lyrics to a song through repetition. You learned how to drive a car through practicing each day. Do you remember when you were learning how to ride a bike? You were so determined to be able to take those bumper wheels off!
You CAN do this. You CAN shift your mindset from a place of limiting beliefs into a newly empowering and positive mindset belief system. You CAN do this. Be gentle with yourself, be loving towards yourself, be consistent with it each day. I promise it gets SO MUCH EASIER as you go along. Do you think a baby who learns how to walk falls down and gives up? No! A baby just gets back up and keeps going- and this is what you are going to do. This is what you are going to do because your soul is CRAVING to live by its calling. Your soul is CRAVING to live out its journey through your life’s desires. Your soul is CRAVING for your mindset to connect with it on a daily basis and start living in abundance.

Now re-read what you wrote and brainstorm some ideas on how you can START taking inspired actions towards your NEW reality! SHOW the Universe through emitting your tiny, fast-moving particles what you truly desire to receive and be in life. You ARE worthy of being happy, you ARE worthy of receiving your dreams, and you ARE worthy of living your soul’s truest happiness in life!
Write this out 25 times:
Either my desires ARE coming to me; or, something even BETTER is coming to me for my soul’s highest happiness!
